Broadwell of Plymouth is a senior housing development located in Plymouth, Minnesota, situated on a four-acre site just north of Highway 55. The 130-unit, four-story structure offers a full continuum of care—featuring independent living, assisted living, and memory care apartments tailored to meet the evolving needs of seniors. Designed as a ground-up and in-line construction, the facility thoughtfully incorporates modern amenities, including exhibition-style kitchens, private dining rooms, and multi-level configurations. The goal was to create a comfortable and engaging environment that addresses today’s residential support and environmental challenges for aging adults.
PROCESS
The design process centered on resident wellness and quality of life. From the earliest planning stages, the team focused on integrating contemporary elements like a club room, café, fitness center, spa, and varied activity spaces to encourage social connection and independence. The inclusion of outdoor patio designs and accessible layouts ensured ease of movement, comfort, and opportunities for residents to enjoy nature. Each space was intentionally planned to support a variety of daily routines while offering the warmth of home in a secure, community-based setting.
