PROJECT
Cutting Edge Pediatric Therapy in Allen, Texas, is a specialized healthcare facility dedicated to promoting independence and development for children and young adults through innovative therapy services. Designed to serve patients from infancy through adulthood, this full-service clinic reflects a commitment to creating a supportive and purpose-driven environment where therapy is both functional and engaging.
Phase I of the project features a 13,400 square foot facility equipped to provide occupational, physical, and speech therapy services. FUSION AE worked closely with the client to design therapy rooms tailored for developmental tasks, along with a family-oriented outdoor playground and patio space. One of the clinic's standout features is the HydroWorx 500 therapy pool, complete with an underwater treadmill, resistance jet, and diagnostic viewing capabilities to support a wide range of physical therapy needs.
PROCESS
FUSION AE provided a comprehensive scope of services including architecture, structural engineering, MEP engineering, program management, and construction administration. Our team led the design and development of Phase I, ensuring that the facility supports both clinical workflows and patient comfort. The layout also includes a fully equipped physical therapy gym and flexible therapy rooms designed for life skills development.
Currently, FUSION AE is working on Phase II of the facility, which adds an additional 7,823 square feet. This expansion includes training rooms, a mock café and grocery store, a mock lunchroom, restroom training areas, and expanded administrative offices—designed to simulate real-life environments for skill-building and therapeutic development.
RESULT
The completed Phase I facility delivers a warm, functional space that supports individualized care and progressive therapy techniques. With Phase II underway, Cutting Edge Pediatric Therapy continues to grow as a benchmark in pediatric and young adult rehabilitation.
