The Phipps Center for the Arts, a beloved cultural destination in Hudson, Wisconsin, has long been a vibrant hub for the performing and visual arts. With a mission to “Celebrate the creative spirit,” the center offers enriching experiences in theater, music, dance, and exhibitions, serving as a cornerstone of the community’s cultural fabric.
To support that mission, The Phipps underwent a thoughtful renovation focused on refreshing the facility and enhancing the visitor experience. FUSION AE’s interiors team partnered with White Design Group to reimagine the dated, dark interior and deliver a welcoming, modern space. From the updated main entrance to the bright and inviting Welcome Desk, the new design brings energy and warmth that better reflects the dynamic programs within the center.
PROCESS
The renovation included a complete transformation of key interior areas. By introducing lighter finishes, vibrant colors, and updated lighting, the design team created a more open and engaging atmosphere. The layout improvements also enhanced wayfinding and accessibility for patrons of all ages.
RESULT
Today, the revitalized Phipps Center for the Arts is not only more functional but truly embodies its creative mission. The refreshed design invites guests to feel inspired from the moment they enter, setting the tone for the performances, classes, and exhibits that lie ahead.
