PROJECT

Designed to accommodate both large-scale and intimate live music performances, The Rustic is a dynamic indoor-outdoor restaurant and bar concept rooted in Texas culture. With locations in San Antonio and Downtown Houston, the venue delivers a truly immersive experience where guests can enjoy Texas-inspired dishes, locally brewed beers, and live music in a relaxed, communal setting.

The Rustic San Antonio, co-owned by Kyle Noonan, Josh Sepkowitz, and Texas country artist Pat Green, spans 28,000 square feet and includes a full-service kitchen, expansive bar, and an outdoor music venue with stage, VIP areas, and general seating. The space embraces a minimalist design approach with natural materials such as wood and metal, paired with locally sourced decor to create a warm, authentic Texas aesthetic.

Following the success of the original Dallas location, FUSION AE was asked to customize the concept for the San Antonio and Houston sites, delivering full Architectural, Engineering, and Interior Design services.

PROCESS

FUSION AE led the charge in adapting The Rustic's brand identity into site-specific designs. From space planning and material selection to engineering coordination and construction administration, our team ensured each location aligned with the brand’s high standards while reflecting the personality of its city. The Downtown Houston location, completed in 2018, features a 25,000-square-foot layout, a signature U-shaped indoor bar, retractable roof, and sprawling backyard patio with a performance stage.

Each Rustic location offers a distinctive yet cohesive guest experience—blending culinary excellence, live entertainment, and inviting environments that celebrate Texas culture.
