FUSION Launches to Reimagine How Architecture, Brand Development, Engineering, Interiors, and Strategy Together Craft Experience
New multidisciplinary practice — formed by integrating four founding studios — is built on the conviction that the most meaningful environments are created when disciplines work together from the outset.
Across industries, brands and organizations are rethinking the role of the built environment. Spaces are no longer expected to simply function; they are expected to create connections, reflect identity, support well-being, and deliver meaningful experiences for the people who use them.
FUSION addresses this shift by uniting architecture, engineering, interiors, graphic design, brand development, and strategy on a single, integrated platform.
Formerly Fusion AE, the rebranded firm integrates ID Studio 4 (Dallas), Sperides Reiners Architects (Minneapolis), ACi Architects (Orlando and Tampa), and Reztark Design Studio (Cincinnati and Cleveland). Together, they unite 130 professionals across six U.S. locations who share a belief that the most impactful environments are created when disciplines work together from the beginning.
With clients and projects spanning coast to coast, FUSION combines national reach with deep regional expertise across 10+ sectors, including restaurants, healthcare, retail, and housing, delivering holistic designs shaped by national perspective and local understanding.
FUSION poses a simple belief: the best environments emerge when design disciplines work together from the beginning. Clients increasingly recognize that the experiences environments create directly influence engagement, culture, well-being, and long-term value (JLL, PwC). FUSION aligns interdisciplinary design expertise from start to finish to craft more meaningful experiences.
"People don't experience architecture, brand development, engineering, and interiors separately. They experience one environment,” said Eric Reiners, AIA, President, FUSION. “The industry has traditionally delivered those disciplines in pieces. FUSION was built around the belief that the best outcomes happen when those perspectives are integrated from the start."
A practice built on complementary expertise
The four founding studios were brought together for the complement of their disciplines and sector depth, more than for geographic coverage. Each legacy studio retains its team, project leads, and studio culture. What expands is the range of disciplines and depth of expertise FUSION brings to each client.
“Small firms dominate the architecture, design, and engineering industries, which can make it hard for clients to get the depth of services and continuity they need,” says Brian Chandler, PE, Chief Operating Officer, FUSION. “By uniting four firms, we’re able to build the shared infrastructure that individual practices struggle to fund. This frees our teams to focus on design, and offers clients a resilient partner across market cycles.”
Brett Kratzer, AIA, Chief Strategy Officer, expands: "We're building a practice where design thinking drives the entire process — from early visioning through realization. By bringing disciplines together around a shared vision, we can help clients create environments that feel more connected, more intentional, and more reflective of who they are.”.
